"We Will Not Forget"

After the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake, from 2009 to 2014, Partners Education Foundation cooperated with the Education Bureau of York, Ontario, Canada to recruit volunteer local teachers locally to take charge of the English teacher training program in Hong Kong during summer.

 

More than 500 English teachers in Mianyang, Mianyang, Ya'an, Beichuan and other places have been funded to attend training in Hong Kong. On November 17, 2011, the Foundation organized 43 Hong Kong elementary and secondary school principals to Chengdu to participate in the Sichuan-Hong Kong Friendship Sister School Agreement.

 

The Hong Kong Education Bureau organized more than 1,000 Hong Kong students to visit the disaster-stricken areas.

Sichuan Earth-quake "We Will Not Forget" movement

The Sichuan Community Care Campaign after the Sichuan Disaster is the foundation's largest care campaign in 2009-2012. The goal is to contribute to the reconstruction of Sichuan's post-disaster education and hope to assist the long-term education development in remote areas of the Mainland.

 

The "We Will Not Forget" event was attended by over 170 primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in Hong Kong. During the "Caring Week", donations were made in various forms, including: casual clothes day, bazaar, hungry lunch, etc.

 

On May 16, 2009, the "We Will Not Forget" recognition ceremony and concert was held, many schools were invited to perform, and several guests were invited to present certificates of recognition to participating schools.
